Buying a classic Italian motorcycle, or custom bike from Dreamcycles, signifies the beginning of a relationship - not the end. Because we’re not a typical bike shop.
We go the extra mile to ensure you’re happy with your purchase, long after the deal is done. When you become part of our family, we share your passion and your journey. So, we promise to look after you. We’re together for the long haul.
No, we’re not anything like a mainstream motorcycle dealership. As a boutique operator, our common thread is a quest for perfection in everything we do. It runs through our veins.
Like you, we’re passionate about classic Italian motorcycles. We love riding them, restoring and servicing them, looking at them and hearing them run. As Mike says… “There is only one thing that sounds as good as a bevel-drive fitted with contis… and that’s another bevel-drive fitted with contis.” Music to our ears!
Attention to detail is key to what we do. We’re not happy until it’s right.
We only use top quality lubricants, filters, belts, parts and so on, when servicing and refurbishing our bikes.
When you buy a bike from us, we will service it AT COST during your period of ownership ie. what it actually costs us - labour, parts and consumables - with no margin added. That means you’ll PAY LESS than half what most bike shops charge, saving you hundreds if not thousands of dollars. It’s a way to demonstrate how we care and add value wherever possible.
Many of our customers buy more than one bike from us.
Nothing makes us happier than seeing you smiling like an idiot behind your dark visor, when you take on your favourite country road. We are riders too. We understand.
We focus on rare and collectable models with relatively low kilometers - usually limited-edition bikes or numbered models. Mike hand-picks each bike. Most come from Japan.
We thoroughly road test our bikes to identify any bugs and rectify them before offering them for sale.
During the refurbishment process, most bikes get new tires and a new battery fitted with leads for a trickle charger.
And of course, each bike comes with a full tank of gas, a fresh WOF and at least 3 months rego.
We work to the highest standards and always stand behind our bikes. If something is not right after you purchase a bike from us, we simply fix it - quickly and correctly. We never cut corners.
We want you to be ‘over the moon’ with your purchase. That means we don’t sell bikes ‘sight unseen’. We want you to visit our workshop, to poke and prod, to ensure you’re 100% happy.

If you are interested in a particular bike and you're from 'out of town' and 'time poor', we're happy to collect you from Auckland Airport - drive you to our workshop - then return you to the airport for your flight home (all possible within a day). Our workshop is one and a half hours from the airport, near Warkworth. There is no obligation to purchase of course... just part of our service.
PLEASE NOTE, we’ll deliver your newly purchased bike to you free of charge anywhere in the North Island. For South Island purchasers, we ask you to cover the cost of the return Cook Straight ferry.
